CHINA UNICOM (00762.HK) opened higher at $10.16 but gradually fell back afterward. It last traded at $9.33, down 6.89%, on a volume of 160 million shares, involving $1.526 billion.

ZTE (00763.HK) also trended downward and sank to a bottom of $31. It last traded at $31.4, down 6.82%, on a volume of 39.2736 million shares, involving $1.275 billion.
