Alibaba Cloud and Salesforce (CRM.US) jointly announced a new cooperation plan aimed at reinforcing the business cooperation between the two companies in China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, accelerating the popularization of Salesforce products in the Chinese market, enhancing the customer experience, and providing more efficient solutions that meet local needs for enterprises in the region. Alibaba Cloud's Tongyi Foundation Model will carry all the AI capabilities of Salesforce products in China. Salesforce and Alibaba Cloud will connect Salesforce products with Alibaba Cloud's AI technology through the Internet Gateway AI Connector, and use Alibaba Cloud's Model as a Service (MaaS) to provide a more intelligent automation experience within China. In parallel, Alibaba Cloud and Salesforce will launch more joint solutions and develop corresponding products for industries with strong CRM demand, such as life sciences, manufacturing, automobiles, retail of consumer goods, and professional services. Both parties expected that customers in the domestic market will be able to use Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud after the cooperation is implemented, while customers in overseas markets will be able to purchase the international version of Salesforce through Alibaba Cloud, helping enterprises going global to provide more stable and rapid development. Concurrently, Alibaba Cloud will step up investment in resources such as technical support, industry solutions, and training to help enterprises further promote digital transformation through the Salesforce platform.
