Cui Dongshu, Secretary General of the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), said in an article that based on the better performance of the passenger vehicle (PV) industry data released in January 2025, and considering the favorable policy direction of China's promotional spending in 2025 and future environmental change trends, the CPCA's forecasting team had made tweaks in mid-February to its 2025 annual forecast for the industry. Specifically, the forecast for 2025 PV retail sales was raised by 2% to 23.43 million units, with the total forecast volume increasing by 70,000 units compared to the January forecast.
