MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) recently announced that it will pay social security for full-time and stable part-time riders, which is assumed to be implemented starting in 2Q25.

In this regard, Wang Puzhong, CEO of Meituan's core local commerce business, said that performing social responsibilities does not have to be done with a competitive mindset.

He revealed that Meituan has discussed the issue of social security for riders for a long time and has also reported on various plans to the relevant units.
