HSBC's stock price in London closed down 0.3% at GBX895.4 on Wednesday (19th), equivalent to about HKD87.6, 0.9% lower than the Hong Kong closing price of HKD88.4. HSBC's 2024 results showed that its reported PBT hiked 6% YoY to US$32.309 billion, close to the upper end of the range of US$31.374-32.607 billion predicted by seven brokers we surveyed. Basic EPS was US$1.25. The group declared a fourth quarterly DPS of US$0.36, representing a total DPS of US$0.87 for the year, in line with the median of US$0.866 forecast by eight brokers surveyed by our reporters.
