CHINA SHENHUA Jan Coal Sales Drop 21.6%; Commercial Coal Production Slips 8.5%

In January 2025, the commercial coal production amounted to 24.9 million tonnes, down 8.5% YoY, while the coal sales amounted to 30.2 million tonnes, down 21.6% YoY, according to CHINA SHENHUA (01088.HK)'s announcement. The main reason for the YoY decrease in coal sales was due to weak procurement demand for coal affected by the Spring Festival holiday, higher average temperature over the same period last year and the accumulated inventory of coal, the Group said.
