President Xi Delivers Keynote Speech at POE Symposium

Chinese President Xi Jinping attended a symposium with private enterprises (POEs) in Beijing this morning, according to official media reports. After listening to speeches by representatives of POE leaders, Xi delivered a keynote speech. Li Qiang and Ding Xuexiang also attended the symposium, which was chaired by Wang Huning. According to a Reuters report last Friday, President Xi was set to host a forum today (17th) to bolster confidence of POEs, with Jack Ma, co-founder of BABA-W (09988.HK); Pony Ma, CEO of TENCENT (00700.HK); Lei Jun, founder of XIAOMI-W (01810.HK), and Wang Xingxing of Hangzhou Yushu Technology, in attendance, while top executives of Huawei might also be present.
