Paulo Pong, Chairman of Ocean Park Corporation, said during a TV program that the Park has so far had no intention to raise ticket fees, in light of the economic situation of Hong Kong.

After An An and Ke Ke, the panda pairs gifted by the Chinese government, made their public debut at the Park during the 2024 Christmas season, the Park has seen a spike of 30% in the number of visitors on a YoY basis.

The newborn twins, a boy and a girl which are now introduced to the public, are anticipated to also help increase footfall and revenue, said the Chairman.

He also revealed that the Park is planning to launch panda-related fee-charging activities in April and May, and is also planning to expand the living and supporting facilities for the pandas, or relocate some of the facilities in the lower part of the park, and build a new pavilion and a panda museum in phases.
