Shenzhen's Municipal Market Supervision Bureau and Municipal Development and Reform Commission jointly released the "Guidelines for the Construction of Shenzhen's Electric Vehicle Supercharging Facility Standards System", marking the birth of China's first guidelines for the construction of an electric vehicle (EV) supercharging facility standards system. Considering the current development status and future trends of Shenzhen's EV supercharging facilities, it is understood that the framework of the city's EV supercharging facility standards system is divided into six aspects such as basic standards, equipment systems, and station construction, and covers 19 professional field standards including terminology definitions, supercharging equipment, and supercharging systems. This is aimed at providing scientific guidance for the standardization work in Shenzhen's supercharging facility field. As of January 25, 2025, Shenzhen has cumulatively built 1,030 supercharging stations with 134,000 new charging piles, bringing the total number of charging piles to 420,000, as indicated by data.
