MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) announced that it will officially launch in some cities in Guangxi this week a pilot program of "overtime penalty-free".

In the pilot areas, overtime deduction will be entirely removed, and the “overtime deduction” for freelance riders will be replaced by a points system, supplemented by support strategies such as training and assistance for new riders, optimization of meal scheduling and a complaint channel, in a bid to continue to improve the delivery experience for riders.

In the pilot areas, overtime will have no impact on a rider's income. If overtime is found to be the responsibility of the rider, points may be deducted. Subsequently, riders can earn points for on-time delivery. Points will be updated the following day. If a rider's points are too low, they can be restored by attending supplemental training, either online or offline.

MEITUAN-W last posted at $167.1 this morning (14th), up 4.63%, with 31.4029 million shares traded, involving $5.196 billion.
