Taobao CK Chan: More & More Merchants Sign Up for RMB99 HK Free Shipping Scheme

Taobao Hong Kong recorded a high double-digit growth every year post-COVID-19, CK Chan, Head of Hong Kong and Macao of Taobao Tmall World, said.

After the introduction of the free shipping service for small and light items valued at RMB99 or above in October 2024, the turnover of new users surged by 6x YoY, while the purchase frequency of existing users also increased.

The RMB99 free shipping service was welcomed by many users, while more and more merchants had signed up to participate, Chan added. The free shipping service would continue to be provided in different forms in the future, and that there is no intention to adjust the free shipping threshold at present.
