China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) and JD Group co-released the China E-Commerce Logistics Index for January 2025 at 109.2, down 3.5 points from the previous month.

The e-commerce logistics index subsided seasonally in January, with the total business volume index and the rural business volume index declining MoM, as many online merchants suspended operations or temporarily closed for the Lunar New Year holidays.

The report indicated that some platforms and merchants were still in temporary shipping suspension in the first half of February, and the growth momentum of the e-commerce logistics index needed to be strengthened.

However, with the gradual return to work and the gradual resumption of stranded orders after the holiday, it is forecast that the overall uptrend of the e-commerce logistics index will continue to be maintained.
