Rho Motion: Global/ CN EV Sales Surge 18%/ 12% YoY in Jan

Research firm Rho Motion reported that global sales of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) in January increased by 17.7% YoY to 1.3 million units, marking the third consecutive month of slowing growth. Due to the impact of the Chinese New Year holiday in January, sales growth in Europe and the US surpassed that in China for the first time since February 2024.
