BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) launched a new intelligent driving system. It opened 4.1% higher this morning (11th) and reached a historical high of $345 with a surge of 4.5% in early trading. However, it last tumbled to $329.2, down 0.363%, on a volume of 9.427 million shares, involving $3.185 billion.

While US President Donald Trump announced that he is considering tariffs on automobiles, Morgan Stanley noted that other automaker peers may not respond in time when BYD COMPANY is popularizing intelligent driving. Car stocks faltered across the board. GEELY AUTO (00175.HK) plunged 9.6% to $16, currently the worst-performing blue chip. GAC GROUP (02238.HK) dropped 3.63% to $3.19. GWMOTOR (02333.HK) sank 7.1% to $12.02.
