BYD COMPANY to Meet with Italian Auto Parts Makers Next Wk to Discuss European Plants' Parts Supply

BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) will meet with Italian auto parts makers in Turin, Italy, on 20 and 21 February to discuss the supply of parts for its plants in Hungary and Turkey, which are expected to start operations in October 2025 and March 2026 each, with a total annual output of 500,000 units. BYD COMPANY had a cautious approach to its production operations, relying more on local parts suppliers, Alfredo Altavilla, special adviser for Europe at BYD COMPANY, said. Italian firms will be the first to be invited to work with the Company given their high technology and supply contracts with premium brands, as well as the lack of orders of Italian suppliers now, which are being impacted by a drop in production at Stellantis (STLA.US).
