IMAX Corporation (IMAX.US) announced that it logged the highest box office record for the Spring Festival period, with box office of RMB380 million in the 7-day 2025 Spring Festival holiday that ended yesterday (4th), a significant incline of 66% over the box office of RMB231 million in the same period of 2023, according to Chinese media. Meanwhile, the viewing number of IMAX cinemas across China exceeded 5.5 million, setting an all-time new high for IMAX viewing number during the Spring Festival. Ne Zha 2, produced by ENLIGHT MEDIA(300251.SZ), recorded a box office of $260 million at IMAX, leading the Spring Festival. The leading creation teams of the five IMAX films at 2025 Spring Festival have a deep roots of cooperation with IMAX. "Creation of the Gods II: Demon Force" produced by ALI PICTURES (01060.HK) and "Operation Leviathan" produced by BONA FILM(001330.SZ) are presented in IMAX special frame, while ‘Detective Chinatown 1900’, a movie mainly invested by MAOYAN ENT (01896.HK), and ‘Legends of The Condor Heroes: The Gallants’ created by China Film Group are IMAX's latest masterpieces in its long history of collaborating with related filmmakers.
