CN Jan Caixin Services PMI Falls to 51, Missing Forecast; Composite PMI Drops to 51.1

At the start of the new year, the pace of service sector expansion slowed down. The Caixin China General Services Business Activity Index (service PMI) for January was 51, down 1.2 ppts MoM, the lowest since October 2024, representing continuous expansion, compared with the market consensus of 52.4. The earlier released January Caixin China Manufacturing PMI also dropped 0.4 ppts to 50.1, the lowest in nearly 4 months.
