Trump Says No Rush to Talk with Xi

U.S. President Donald Trump said he is in no hurry to speak with Chinese President Xi Jinping to de-fuse the latest trade war between the two countries, Reuters reported.

The U.S. began imposing a 10% tariff increase on all Chinese goods yesterday (4th), while China retaliated with tariff measures and an antitrust investigation into Google. Responding to reporters about China's retaliatory measures, Trump said that it's very good.

White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said in an interview with Fox News that a call between the U.S. and China still needs to be scheduled, adding that China did reach out to the US and talked about it, perhaps in an effort to start negotiations. So the U.S. will see how they go.
