The Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council of China issued an announcement on the imposition of tariffs on some imported commodities originating in the US, meanwhile, China filed a lawsuit at the World Trade Organization (WTO) against the US for imposing an additional 10% tariff on Chinese products. The US imposed 10% more tariffs on Chinese products exported to the US on the grounds of the fentanyl issue, a spokesman for the Embassy of China in the US said. China is strongly dissatisfied with the US' additional tariffs, firmly opposes it, and has taken necessary countermeasures in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations, as well as the basic principles of international law, which are entirely proper and reasonable. At the same time, China has filed a litigation with the WTO to firmly defend its legitimate rights and interests.
