<CN Home>SZ Newly Built Commodity Home, 2nd-Hand Home Deals ~10K in Jan, Up 60% YoY

The Shenzhen Housing and Construction Bureau reported that in January 2025, nearly 10,000 newly built commodity residential units and second-hand residential units were sold in the city, up 60% YoY, as Chinese news broke.

The Bureau said that the mainland property market in January is traditionally a slow season, but Shenzhen's market deals remained active. The city sold 5,090 newly built commercial residential units online, a YoY surge of 97.3%. The second-hand residential market saw 4,554 online deals, a YoY hike of 31.5%, sustaining the market recovery trend since October 2024.

Experts quoted in the report said that the persisted economic upturn, policy support and market expectations will further consolidate the stabilization of downward property market trend in Shenzhen this year.
