CN Car Exports Shoot up 20% YoY, Leading World for 2 Straight Yrs

China's car exports in 2024 leaped 19% YoY to 5.85 million units, maintaining its top global ranking for two consecutive years, further distancing itself from second-place Japan, the Nikkei reported. According to last month's data from China's General Administration of Customs, China's car exports in 2024 even surged 23% YoY to 6.41 million units. Chery Automobile and SAIC Motor claimed the top two spots with export volumes of 1.14 million and 920,000 vehicles respectively. Changan Automobile ranked third with an export volume of 536,000 vehicles. GEELY AUTO (00175.HK) and GWMOTOR (02333.HK) followed closely with export volumes of 532,000 and 453,000 vehicles.
