U.S. President Donald Trump and Nvidia (NVDA.US) CEO Jensen Huang discussed DeepSeek and the tightening of exports of AI chips during a meeting at the White House, Reuters reported, citing sources.

The meeting was slated before DeepSeek sent shockwaves through the U.S. tech sector, and that Trump believes the rise of Chinese companies means that U.S. firms do not need to spend tremendous amount of money to build low-cost AI options, sources divulged.
