The US White House announced a 25% tariff increase on Canadian and Mexican goods and a 10% hike on Chinese goods from last Saturday (February 1).

In early Asian trading today (3rd), US stock futures plunged, with DJIA futures last slipping 475 points, or 1.06%, at 44,217; S&P 500 futures cratering 1.56%; and the Nasdaq diving 2.14%.

USD Index surged, and last added 0.92% to 109.37. CNH, which plummeted 482 points against USD once, last slid 359 points at 7.3547.

As for Asian stock markets, the Nikkei index lost 2.07% to 38,754.96, while South Korea's KOSPI dropped 2.22% to 2,461.49.
