A spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the People's Republic of China (PRC) responded to the 10% tariff imposed by the US on China's exports to the US on the grounds of the fentanyl issue. The Chinese authority said that China is strongly dissatisfied with the situation and vigorously opposes it, and that it will take the necessary countermeasures to firmly safeguard its legitimate rights and interests. China's position is consistent and steadfast, said the MFA, and there is no winner in a trade war or tariff war.
