DeepSeek Dents Tech Stocks; World's 500 Richest People Have US$100B+ Wealth Gone in Single Day

The rise of China's AI startup DeepSeek dented US tech stocks overnight (27th), and the wealth of the world's 500 richest people evaporated US$108 billion in a single day, Bloomberg reported.

Among which, AI-related billionaires bore the brunt. Nvidia (NVDA.US) co-founder Jensen Huang and Oracle (ORCL.US) co-founder Larry Ellison's wealth wiped off US$20.1 billion and US$22.6 billion on the same day respectively, accounting for 20% and 12% of their wealth.
