U.S. President Donald Trump said he is in talks with multiple people about the acquisition of short-form video platform TikTok, and will likely make a decision on TikTok's future within 30 days.

The U.S. government's plan to buy TikTok includes Oracle (ORCL.US) and a group of outside investors taking over the company's operations, with ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, retaining a portion of the company's shares, Reuters reported earlier, citing sources.

Trump responded to the report that he had not discussed the acquisition of TikTok with Oracle CEO Larry Ellison. Also, he said that had not taken Oracle and other investors as the buyer of TikTok.

He remarked that there are a number of people who have discussed the issue with him though, and that he will make a decision within about 30 days.
