Hong Kong bourse rallied in the morning session, with the HSI up 331 points, or 1.7%, to 20,032 in the latest print. U.S. President Donald Trump said his conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping last week was cordial and that he thought he can make a trade deal with China. In an interview with the Fox News, Trump remarked that the dialogue between the two went well, and it was good and friendly. He could reach a deal with China on fair trade practices, Trump said, expressing he would prefer not to wield tariffs against China.
