CSRC Approves GTJA's Merger with HAITONG SEC by way of Absorption

HAITONG SEC (06837.HK) announced that the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) on last Friday (17th) approved the registration of GTJA (02611.HK) for Guotai Junan merging with Haitong Securities by way of absorption and issuance of 5.985 billion new shares; approved Guotai Junan issuing shares to raise ancillary funds in the amount of up to RMB10 billion; and approved for Guotai Junan merging with Haitong Securities. Upon completion of the merger, Haitong Securities will be dissolved in accordance with the laws, and the branches of Haitong Securities will be changed to the branches of Guotai Junan.
