TSMC (TSM.US)’s CoWoS is rumored to have faced order cuts and slackened production expansion, according to multiple media reports. TSMC Chairman CC Wei clarified that it is a rumor, and that the company has continued to expand its production to cater the demand of its customers.

In fact, the industry believed that TSMC's overall supply of CoWoS is still insufficient to meet demand, and that even if customers switch from CoWoS-S to CoWoS-L, it does not mean that they are cutting orders. The overall production capacity of CoWoS-L is deemed still insufficient to meet the increasing demand from the customer base.
