TENCENT, Gillemot Consider Creating New Entity to Inject Ubisoft's Assets

The acquisition of Ubisoft, the distributor of online game “Assassin's Creed”, and TENCENT (00700.HK) has been put on hold, mainly due to the unwillingness of the founder's family, the Gillemot family, to relinquish control of the company and the fact that the two parties failed to reach consensus on the matter, according to foreign media. TENCENT and the Gillemot family are considering creating a new entity that would include some of Ubisoft's assets, according to Chinese media.
