Apple, Samsung's Global Smartphone Shipments Sink Last Qtr: IDC Report

Apple (AAPL.US) and Samsung's global smartphone shipments sank in 4Q24, according to preliminary data from IDC, in wake of stiff competition from Chinese companies. Apple's global shipments lost 4.1% to 76.9 million units last quarter, while Samsung's fell 2.7% to 51.7 million units under escalated competition from Chinese firms such as XIAOMI-W (01810.HK), Oppo and Honor, report revealed. As for 2024, Apple topped the global smartphone market with a market share of 18.7%, preceding Samsung and Xiaomi with 18% and 13.6% respectively. AAStocks Financial News |
