HK Govt to Issue Additional $4B HKD Bonds, RMB3B RMB Bonds in 4FQ

The Hong Kong government will issue an additional $4 billion of HKD bonds and RMB3 billion of RMB bonds in the fourth fiscal quarter (January to March 2025).

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), as representative of the HKSAR Government, published yesterday (9th) a revised tentative issuance schedule for institutional Government Bonds to be offered under the Infrastructure Bond Programme and Government Sustainable Bond Programme during the period from January to March 2025, announcing the issuance of an additional $2 billion of 3-year and $1.5 billion of 5-year HKD government bonds, as well as the issuance of RMB1 billion of 10-year government bonds.
