The Commerce Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality grounded a fresh round of trade-in subsidy policy for consumer goods effective 2025, covering home appliances, automobiles and e-bikes. The policy aims to promote consumption replacement while improving energy efficiency standards.

Home appliances are the first to receive the subsidy. Pursuant to the regulations, consumers will enjoy a 15% subsidy on the selling prices of home appliances with energy efficiency standards of Grade 2 and above; and an extra 5% subsidy for products with energy efficiency standards of Grade 1 and above.
