CX Nepal-HK Flights Report Suspected Collective Food Poisoning for 2 Straight Days

CATHAY PAC AIR (00293.HK)'s flights from Kathmandu, Nepal to Hong Kong reported another incident of suspected collective food poisoning in the early hours of this morning (9th), marking the second consecutive day of similar incidents on the route.

It is understood that the flight in question was numbered “CX640”, and about 15 people on board said they felt sick. The Fire Services Department received a report in the early hours of the morning and dispatched a number of ambulances to stand by at the airport, with a total of 5 people needing to be sent to hospital for treatment.

In the early hours of Wednesday (8th), 10 people were suspected to have suffered from food poisoning on a flight of the same number, with some patients reporting symptoms such as vomiting, nausea and abdominal pain after having meals on board, and 4 of them seeking medical treatment.
