Apple (AAPL.US)'s new affordable iPhone will begin mass production in mid-January, China Securities Journal quoted industrial chain sources as saying. The iPhone OEM manufacturer, Foxconn, has been hiring, sources added, in preparation for the mass production of new iPhone models. Another supply chain sources said that the company has already supplied parts for Apple's new spring iPhone model, which is expected to be a relatively inexpensive iPhone product.
