Xiaomi Automobile's official Weibo released the preliminary investigation results for the incident in Ningbo. At the time of the incident, the store sales was driving test drive car with the user to experience test ride and test drive, during which the sports + and boost mode was switched on. Yet, no ejection mode was used, and no speeding behavior occurred.

The tested car collised with an e-bike that ran a red light on the way, and the e-bike driver got injured in accident. The sales staff immediately dialed 120 to send the injured to the hospital for treatment.

Xiaomi Automobile responded that the company felt sorry for this traffic accident, and pledged to cooperate with the traffic control units to investigate and analyze the accident.

The company said it will help the families of the injured to deal with the subsequent matters. In parallel, internal investigation will be conducted to fortify the safety and compliance management in the process of test ride and test drive in the stores to avoid the recurrence of this kind of incident.
