US Adds TENCENT, CATL to List of Firms Allegedly Collaborate w/ CN Military

The U.S. Department of Defense said on Monday it had added Chinese technology giants, including TENCENT (00700.HK) and battery maker CATL (300750.SZ), to its list of companies allegedly collaborate with the Chinese military.

Pursuant to the authorities' documents, the list also included chipmaker CXMT, QUECTEL WIRELESS (603236.SH) and drone manufacturer AUTEL TECHNOLOGY (688208.SH).

The U.S. Department of Defense also reportedly removed six companies that allegedly no longer meet the specified requirements, including CHINA RAIL CONS (01186.HK), China State Construction Engineering Corporation and China Telecom.
