The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), in response to the successive air crashes of Azerbaijan Airlines and South Korea's Jeju Air, announced that it will launch a safety risk assessment and risk investigation on flight operations, providing timely safety risk alerts to airlines for flights that may be affected, and adjusting flight path plans to ensure safe operations. Shu Mingjiang, Chief Safety Officer of the CAAC, said in a regular press conference that, after the occurrence of the above civil aviation safety incidents, the CAAC held a special meeting in the first instance to report the incident, and pay close attention to the progress of the investigation and analysis of the cause of the incident, strengthening the awareness of danger and urging the whole industry to seriously implement the work of the Work Safety Commission of the State Council, so as to comprehensively investigate and manage the hidden dangers and to thoroughly control the safety risks to ensure the safety of aviation operations.
