Mao Yinian, vice president of MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) and chairman of the board of directors of the Meituan Academy of Robotics, said that Meituan's drone business unit has recently received their first drone delivery permit overseas for the first time, in Dubai, marking a true globalization of Meituan's drone operations. Speaking at the 2024 Annual Academic Conference of Meituan Academy of Robotics, Mao remarked that Meituan's drone has already opened 53 routes and fulfilled more than 400,000 orders, playing a role in scenarios such as real-time retail and medical delivery.
