PETROCHINA (00857.HK) announced that as of noon on Saturday (21st), the annual natural gas production of China's largest ultra-deep condensate gas development and production base, the Tarim Oilfield's Boda Oil and Gas Management Area, has exceeded 10 billion cubic meters, equivalent to 13.3 million tons of standard coal. The group said that the Tarim Oilfield is the main gas source for the West-East Gas Pipeline, providing gas supply security for nearly 500 million residents in over 120 large and medium-sized cities across 15 provinces, regions, and municipalities downstream. To date, the oilfield has supplied 366.3 billion cubic meters of gas to the West-East Gas Pipeline network and over 64 billion cubic meters to the five regions in southern Xinjiang.
