Against the backdrop of a "bull market" in the mainland China bond market this year, Panda Bonds, a type of RMB bond issued domestically by foreign investors, have been sought after by foreign issuers and investors. The issuance quota for Panda Bonds has so far set a record high of over RMB190 billion, compared to RMB150 billion last year, according to a report by China Business Network.
