Xi: MO Makes New Progress on Various Undertakings, Consolidates Good Situation of Development/ Prosperity/ Stability

Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Macau Chief Executive, Ho Iat Seng, in Macau yesterday afternoon, according to the Macau government's announcement.

Ho has risen to challenges in a pragmatic and productive manner during his five-year term as chief executive, which is not an easy task, yet he has achieved great accomplishments, Xi said.

Macau overcame the challenges from the severe impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, endeavored to advance the development of the economy in an appropriately diversified manner, made new progress in various undertakings and consolidated the good situation of prosperity and stability.

Xi expressed the central authorities' fully acknowledgement the work of Ho and the current-term Macau government.
