The transition team of US President-elect Donald Trump is recommending pushing for large-scale reforms to cut support for electric vehicles (EVs) and charging stations, as well as to strengthen measures against cars, parts, and battery materials from China, Reuters reported, citing documents.

The documents showed that the transition team has also recommended imposing tariffs on all global battery raw materials in order to boost US production, and then negotiating with allies for individual exemptions.
