HK LegCo Passes Resolution to Slash Spirits Tax

The Legislative Council (LegCo) of Hong Kong passed today (12th) after the third reading the resolution of the Dutiable Commodities Ordinance to implement the reduction of spirits tax. The tax rate for units above $200 will be slashed from 100% to 10%, while that for units of $200 or less, as well as spirits with an import price of $200 or less, will remain at 100%.
