NWD: Eric Ma Resigns as CEO, Succeeded by Echo Huang

NEW WORLD DEV (00017.HK) announced that Ma Siu-Cheung, Eric has tendered his resignation as an Executive Director and the CEO of the Company in order to pursue his other personal commitments. He also ceased to serve as a member of the Executive Committee as well as the chairman and a member of the Sustainability Committee. Huang Shaomei, Echo, currently the Executive Director of NWD and the CEO of New World China Land Limited, has been appointed as the CEO of the Company, and will continue in her current role and be fully responsible for the Group's business in Hong Kong and mainland China, reporting to Cheng Kar-Shun, Henry, Chairman of NWD. The above changes take effect from 29 November 2024 (today). An application has been made by the Company to the Stock Exchange for a resumption of trading in the shares of the Company and NWD Bonds with effect from 9:00 a.m. on 2 December 2024 (next Monday).
