The Hong Kong Retail Management Association (HKRMA) warmly welcomed the central government's resumption of the "multiple-entry" permit policy for travel from Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, to Hong Kong and its extension to holders of Shenzhen residence permits. As many more people can now be covered by the policy, it will drive the flow of visitors to Hong Kong and revitalize the local retail market. The HKRMA also emphasized that as the spending patterns of visitors to Hong Kong have changed, it will take time and effort from all sectors to fully realize the benefits of the "multiple-entry" permit policy.
