UBS Wealth Mgmt CIO Forecasts CN Fiscal Stimulus Size to Top RMB30T Next 5-10 Yrs

Hu Yifan, Regional Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Head Macroeconomics APAC of UBS Global Wealth Management, forecast China's fiscal policy to play a bigger role from 2025 onwards o motivate growth and bolster domestic demand, with fiscal stimulus measures projected to be in excess of RMB30 trillion over the next 5-10 years.

This year's trade-in policy has helped boost domestic consumption, Hu said, estimating that the subsidy may continue next year in a scale of an additional RMB160 billion.
