Nvidia (NVDA.US)'s latest Blackwell AI chip is experiencing overheating problem when used in servers, prompting some customers to worry that they won't have enough time to prepare for data center operations, information technology media The Information reported, citing sources.

The Blackwell image processor overheated when connected to server cabinets that can hold up to 72 of the chips, sources divulged. Nvidia has repeatedly asked the supplier to change the design of the server enclosures to solve the overheating problem.
