BABA-W Reportedly Weighing US$5B Bond Offering

BABA-W (09988.HK) is weighing a US$5 billion bond offering, which may comprise of both USD- and RMB-denominated bonds, according to people familiar with the matter cited by Bloomberg.

At the end of May 2024, Alibaba had wrapped up a private offering of US$5 billion of convertible senior notes due 2031 at an interest rate of 0.5%.
