TENCENT's Mini Programs Trace Transaction Amt of RMB2T+ in 3Q

TENCENT (00700.HK) announced that the transaction amount of mini programs surpassed RMB2 trillion in 3Q24, representing a growth of more than 10% YoY, thanks to better coverage and better quality solutions in application scenarios such as food ordering, EV charging and medical services. Through WeChat Mini Shops, a platform where merchants can operate indexed and standardized merchandise storefronts, the Company said it provides merchants with more traffic and transaction support. WeChat Mini Shops harness WeChat's social interaction, content platform and payment capabilities to help merchants effectively reach customers and drive sales conversion. Based on the Company's data, as of the end of September 2024, the combined monthly active accounts of Weixin and WeChat reached 1.382 billion, representing a YoY increase of 3%.
